In chronological order of entry, the Contest Winners are:
- June
- Horace Gaims
- Charlee

- Lucky
There are three things Lucky doesn’t know in this picture:
- The cop who busted him will become Chief of Police.
- The cop who busted him will become his father-in-law.
- Rev will put a cartoon hat on him 38 years later.
- cuz

Some things remain mysterious. Horace Gaims has elected to donate his hat to the erstwhile Cardinal Ratzinger and specified that it be made of cheese. Why cheese? Because “Ratz” like cheese? Who knows? Go figure.
And the Grand Prize is —- A Hat! I will conspire with each winner to draw their very own Fabulous Cartoon Hat. The sky’s the limit here. Need a 1954 Oldsmobile on your hat? You’ve got it. We will then place your hat on an actual photograph of you. And! You’ll appear on www.toonstoonstoons.net wearing Your Hat. If you’re shy about appearing on the World Stage, don’t worry, we can pull the hat down over your eyes. It’ll give you that je ne sais quoi, that air of Cartoon Mystery. So don’t delay. Order yours today! It’s Hat Day!

I really would rather have someone else get the hat.
What a coincidence.
I used to own a ’54 Olds.
I’ll take a fancy pimp hat, with a broad brim and a big ‘ol rooster feather. I think you already have the picture to put it on.
By the way, is Phoebe related to Bloom’s cat from Ulysses?
Perhaps the “Mrkrgnao” is some sort of dialect that they share.
Bingo. She did in fact learn this from Mr Leopold Bloom’s cat and will be appearing contentedly with Lucky in the winner’s cirle.
Busted by cop who became Chief? Chief became father-in-law? Freakin’ classic!!!!
PS Hat kind of makes it look like he was busted for actually being a pimp…? None of my business, and no offense intended! Just hilarious. Sorry. I’m a burnout. My hat would be a dunce cap.
July 29, 1971- I was hanging out at the Nixon Bazaar in Kabul, or was I riding on the top of the bus coming up the Khyber Pass? I forget now. Anyway, it was my birthday and my mother remembered. Weeks later, I received a $20 bill in the mail. One of the minor mircles of the Trip – that cash got through!
Guess I was Lucky too.
Now, now, Ms.Colleen, don’t omit relevant details. That would be, “in the midst of an enhanced experience riding on the top of the bus coming up the Khyber Pass.”
Enhanced. Oh yeah…… Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. There’s nothing like a sky full of stars in Afghanistan! Late July, early August. Talk about twinkle!
GREAT chapeau… I would like to wear it myself!!!!! Does it come in RED? With yellow feather perhaps?
I like the cheese hat!! Really cool!!
Man, they just keep getting better! Mazeltops, Rev!
I’m in love with my hat!! I don’t ever want to take it off….not even for bed!!!!
