How soon it fades unto a distant burp. What were they thinking? That this kind of crap would be more than a bug on the windshield of reality?
The mutterings grow thin and ever more eye darting here in the wilds of southwestern PA where the hysteria peaked with ‘they’ll take our
GUNS!’ sometime this early spring, then ebbed into the numbing day to day of job loss, standing in line for food and having to talk to me as I help load the boxes. I’ve learned my lines well.
After about thirty seconds of muttered inuendo, I break in with a level eyed look.
“He’s our COMMANDER IN CHIEF and we’re IN A MILITARY ACTION.” I remind them. “He is our COMMANDER IN CHIEF!!”
It’s their words played back to them when I bitched about Bush way back when.
