Ha!
Henry Kissinger doesn’t leave the country because he’s scared of being arrested and tried for war crimes. Ain’t it grand to be a war criminal with a Nobel Peace Prize.
I heard the very best analogy on NPR this morning, I think from a caller: “It’s like when your friend has been dating a guy for long time who really treats her bad, and then she starts seeing this new guy who you really like….”
I’m always a little slow on these things. The best I can figure is that this is an expression of the world’s gratitude towards America now that the worst of the abuse has stopped. It gives new meaning to the term “Stockholm syndrome”.
They’ve got one titled ‘Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology’.
So maybe we need a ‘Nobel Prize in Peace or Hope’.
hah!!!
